Are you doing this?
Everyday clicking numerous selfies and insert them on social media.
Can I ask you one question?

Why are you doing this? Why are you exhibiting your personal life on social media?

I know you don’t have an answer.

For a second ask yourself why I am doing this?

Don’t you think social media is completely controlling you?

Sometimes we are involving in something and never realize when it becomes part of life and we barely imagine a day without it.

Life is beautiful and you deserve to capture every single moment through your eyes, mind, heart instead of your phone screen.

Imagine you went on a trip to Paris and when your vacation over, you only remember about your selfies and how many likes you are going to replenish your social media.

For a second let's go in past, you still on a Paris trip and you are standing on the Eiffel tower enjoying the view through your eyes and smiling that hey, I am in Paris; The city of lights.

But you ruined your whole trip because you were busy thinking about how many likes I am going to store for my social media.

I know you all are thinking, that, what is bad about clicking pictures. We are clicking pictures because it will store in memories.

But since I was a kid I believed the mind can store memory and understand emotion.

Do you remember the first bicycle your father gifted you?

Yes ....Great

Do you remember your first day of school?

Yes.......Splendid.

Do you remember, when you had your first periods?

Yes........Painful.

Do you remember when you find the first crush in school?

Yes...Naive

Do you remember your first time on the stage?

Yes........Horrible.

Do you remember your first time when you got the lowest marks in maths?

Yes.....I was disappointed.

Do you remember when your board exam result announced?

Yes.........completely.

Do you remember your first breakup?

Yes.....painful
So, where are the pictures of these memories?
Don’t have it? But you still remember everything.

How it is possible?

I thought your phone is the only one that helps in-memory storage.

The truth of life is that God gives us the mind to think and store memories, eyes to see the beauty of this world, and heart to feel the emotions and tears that came out when we got emotional.

Life is more gorgeous when it will remain private and safe.

Today no matter what we are doing but it becomes necessary to show it on social media.

From, personal to professional, every moment is on social media.

And the answer is still concealed.

Imagine you are on a beach, peace is all around, you are feeling happy, no stress and thoughts in your mind, the view of the sunset is beautiful and you are enjoying the cold but harmless wind.

Suddenly you open your phone camera for picture and start clicking pictures and the moment passed.
Now you forget about everything: the beach, wind, peace, and sun because the focus switch in your phone and your social media profile; what are people going to comment on? Am I looking nasty in this picture? What will my love partner go to think of it? Should I have to remove this picture? My friends gonna be so jealous of this image.

Compared to my childhood; the ’90s era, everything changed. Today people wish each other on social media instead of direct meet or call, now we love to share our life problems on social media with many strangers instead of our family and loving people, today we're not scared to ask for friendship on social media, today we're not intimidated to show where we are and what we are doing on social media.

Sometimes it is tough to interpret that social media is controlling us or we are controlling social media.

Social media is a splendid place to create awareness or spreading impactful messages to people but showing party and smoking images, sharing breakup, and family issues on social media is not part of awareness and impactful messages.

Yesterday I saw one post on social media where the woman sharing an image of her boyfriend with a long emotional message and yes, her location was totally visible.

Don’t you think it’s an entirely private and intimate thing to share on social media?

And then suddenly I saw one more post where one girl was sharing her mother’s image and explaining, we are in the station and my mother is come to drop me and she is getting emotional.

Seriously, you need to share this on social media?

It’s a private and emotional moment between you and your mother, and there is no need to share it on social media.

And then the third post again abandoned me in shock because the post was about a dead grandfather whom she loves very much.

Don’t you think there is no need to show this beautiful and private bond to people who hardly care or stranger to you?
Think about it.

Always remember when you post your private and emotional moments on social media; first ask yourself why I am doing this?

Do I am desperately waiting for people to comment on my beauty and how good I am in life? Do you crazy for more likes and followers on social media?

If the answer is yes, believe me, your followers, don’t care what you are doing in life, how much you travel and how extensively you cherish parties.

Instead of putting pictures on social media and showing people how happy you are, just admire the moment without a phone and social media.

Life is short, spend your moments with genuine people, who love and respects you, not the social media pals who barely care about you and your emotions.
